Media accreditation process open for the Finals of the Scotiabank CONCACAF Champions League 2016/2017

MIAMI, April 10, 2017 – The Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association Football (CONCACAF) reminds media that the accreditation process for the Finals of the Scotiabank CONCACAF Champions League 2016/17 is open to all media. Media members wishing to attend matches should be aware of the upcoming deadlines and accreditation process.

Media members can begin the accreditation process by registering in theCONCACAF Media Center. Once approved for the CONCACAF Media Center, approved applicants will be able to apply for the Champions League and the specific matches they wish to cover.

The application process for each individual Champions League match will close 48 hours before each match. A minimum of three (3) full business days will be required for the processing of a CONCACAF Media Center application, meaning applications for any match must be submitted at the latest by midnight ET the Thursday before the match week to assure timely processing.

Please note that an approval for the CONCACAF Media Center doesn’t grant access to a Champions League match. Media members must apply for the Champions League and then for the specific matches they wish to cover.

All applications will be evaluated individually. A confirmation will be generated to confirm the submission of the application, and a second confirmation will be issued upon approval.

Media members who completed an application for the quarterfinals and/or the semifinals of the Champions league and were approved, will only have to apply for the matches they wish to cover. A tutorial on the media accreditation process is available here.
