Monchi spoke during the official presentation of the newly appointed manager Eusebio Di Francesco, who was named as the successor of Luciano Spalletti.
Reports in recent days have claimed that Liverpool struck a €40m deal with the Giallorossi for Salah, with the Egypt international making his intentions clear, informing Roma that he is keen on the move.
“Roma are not going to sell their players, we intend to build the best possible squad for Di Francesco. It is true there is an interest from an English club and an offer for Momo [Salah],” Monchi told reporters during the Di Francesco’s presentation conference.
“However, it is Roma who decide the price and we will decide, if this offer arrives, whether to sell Salah or not according to the circumstances.”
