ALGER OUT TO KEEP THE HEAT ON SFAXIEN

MC Alger will be out to capitalize on home ground advantage when they welcome Mbabane Swallows to Stade du 5 Juillet in Algiers on Tuesday evening.

Kick-off in the Algerian capital is set for 23h00 CAT.

Mouloudia currently occupy second spot in Group B following three rounds of fixtures in the 2017 CAF Confederations Cup, having registered one win and two draws in their allotted fixtures.

The 1976 African Cup of Champions Clubs were held to a 1-1 draw away to Platinum Stars in their opener before defeating Sfaxien 2-1 on home soil.

A goalless draw in Lobamba duly followed with the Algerians now out to return to winning ways as they eye top spot in their group.

Three time CAF CC champions, Sfaxien, leapfrogged their North African rivals following a 3-0 win over Dikwena last time out, with the Tunisian’s one point clear with six points from three games.

As for Umkhonto Kashaka, the Swaziland giants suffered a narrow defeat away to Sfaxien in their opener before hammering Platinum Stars 4-2 on home soil. Sabelo Ndzinisa scoring no fewer than four goals.

MC Algiers finished their league season in second spot, while Swallows ran away with the title to underline their dominance in the country.
