MC Alger moved top of Group B in the 2017 CAF Confederations Cup following a 2-1 win over Mbabane Swallows at the Stade du 5 Juillet in Algiers on Tuesday.

Hichem Nekkache bagging a brace for the Algerians as they moved two points clear of CS Sfaxien. Swallows remain third with South African side Platinum Stars having yet to register a win.

The hosts made the perfect start as Nekkache found the back of the net afer four minutes.

The forward, who has been in hot scoring form of late, completed his double in the 29th minute as the home side held a 2-0 lead at the break.

Swallows showed some resilience in the second half with Njabulo Ndlovu pulling a goal back for the Swaziland giants, but they were unable to find the equalizer.

Sfaxien have a chance to reclaim top spot in the group with victory over Dikwena in Rustenburg this evening to send them back to the summit.
