Nice’s Ivorian midfielder Jean Michael Seri is reportedly close to a transfer to Italian giants Roma.
According to talkSPORT and RMC, the Italian club have already had offers of £13.25-million and £22-million turned down by the French Ligue 1 side, who are holding out for £35-million.
Roma will return with a third bid of £31-million for the Elephants player, who played a key role in Nice finishing third in France’s top flight.
WhoScored.com has Seri as the most accurate passer of the ball in Ligue 1 for 2016/17, while only Paris Saint-Germain’s Angel Di Maria created more clear-cut chances.
Roma’s latest offer is expected to be accepted by Nice, ruling out a Premier League move for the 25-year-old, who was tracked by both Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.
Seri has reportedly agreed personal terms and a five-year contract is ready for his signature once Roma and Nice agree on the fee.
