BOTSWANA FA YET TO APPROACH BRIGHT, SAYS MPATANE

Morupule Wanderers head coach Major David Bright has responded to the reported interest from Botswana Football Association (BFA).

It is believed that the veteran coach has been approached by BFA regarding the Botswana senior national team coaching job after Peter Butler’s departure.

However, former Botswana Under-23 coach Bright has stated that he’s only focused on helping Wanderers prepare for the 2017/18 campaign.

“I don’t know anything about that offer. I am in Palapye where I am helping Morupule and I am focused on that,” Bright said on Mmegi.

When contacted by the same publication, BFA public relations officer, Tumo Mpatane dismissed the reports.

“No. It’s only fair that we give Boyo (Oris Radipotsane) space to focus on the COSAFA Cup,” he said.

“We don’t want to disturb his judgement and mind with the recruitment process.

“The association is interested in the best
man possible who can take us forward and the recruitment process will start at the necessary time.”

Radipotsane, who was Butler’s assistant, will be in charge of the Zebras at the 2017 COSAFA Cup in North West, South Africa next month.
