Ahead of their final CAF Champions League, Group C match against AS Vita, Mamelodi Sundowns and PUMA have unveiled a new Home and Away jersey.

According to a statement released by the African champions’ official technical apparel partner, the the new 2017/18 Home and Away kit is set to pay tribute to the team’s “Brazilian” bloodline, under the global sports brand’s PLAY LOUD mantra.

It is announced that a design feature of the shirt is the word Brazilians, created in unique lettering inspired by African symbolism and embossed on both the Home and Away kits.

Nicknamed the Brazilians, Pitso Mosimane’s men will don the jersey for the first time when they host Florent Ibenge’s men on Friday at home.

Having already qualified for the knockout stages of the continent’s premier club competition, Mosimane will want his men to bag a win and ensure the occasion is a perfect one.

“With this Bloodline kit we are honouring our loyal supporters, who have been our pillar of strength in good and bad times,” said the club’s communications manager Thulani Thuswa.

“Our supporters deserve it. In our first year with PUMA as our partners we lifted the Champions League and Super Cups for the first time in the club’s illustrious history.

“The Sky Is The Limit as to what this partnership can achieve in the long run. With PUMA, Mamelodi Sundowns is Forever Faster.”

“As their apparel sponsor we are proud of the Sundowns’ dynasty and wanted the new kit to express their bloodline,” adds Bellinger.

“The Brazilians reference is about the team colours, but also their commitment to play loud and fast, with flair.”
