Zamalek president Mortada Mansour says he wants a massive crowd presence during their final CAF Champions League, Group B match against Al Ahli Tripoli on Sunday.
The White Knights are fresh from a 3-1 loss against CAPS United in Harare and are under pressure to bag a win to reach the quarter-finals of the competition.
A win is a must for the Egyptian giants and the club’s boss has urged the fans to come out in numbers on the day.
“I am waiting for a crowd to encourage Zamalek, support the team, stay away from fireworks and attack state institutions,” he said to the club’s website.
Meanwhile, it is also reported that the boss has confirmed he will meet with coach Augusto Inacio in order to talk a about his dealings with the team.
Mansour has reportedly said that more than one player had complained about the Portuguese manager.
The 2016 CAF Champions League finalists sit at the bottom of the group with five points, three behind leaders USM Alger.
The decisive encounter will be staged at Petrosport Stadium in Cairo on Sunday, 9 July at 21:00 (CAT).
