Bundesliga side Schalke 04 are set to have Chelsea’s Ghanaian left-back Baba Rahman on loan for a second successive year.
The 23-year-old was on loan at the Veltins Arena from parent club Chelsea in the 2016/17 season.
The Black Stars player impressed in the first half of the season, but his campaign was cut short when he suffered a serious knee injury while representing his country at the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations.
Rahman had surgery to repair the injury and has been at Chelsea undergoing recovery and rehabilitation.
GHANASoccernet reports that the Blues have reached an agreement with Schalke for the player to return to Germany for another season on loan.
The Ghanaian has also been linked with a move to other teams, including Chelsea’s Premier League rivals Everton and Newcastle United.
