Nice midfielder Jean Michael Seri, who has been linked with top European clubs will be staying with the French Ligue 1 outfit.
The diminutive midfielder is coming off a good season with Nice and he has been linked with Spanish giants FC Barcelona, English outfit Arsenal and Italian side AS Roma.
Seri’s agent Oscar Damiani has stated that Seri will remain with the club ahead of their 2017/18 UEFA Champions League qualifiers which will take place next month.
“Roma and Arsenal need to give up on Jean-Michael Seri because Nice is not going to sell him,” Damiani told TMW Radio.
“I know that Seri will remain in Nice because they are not going to sell him.”
Nice head coach Lucien Favre has also stated that they will not be selling their top players – with Moroccan star Younes Belhanda having left the club for Turkish giants Galatasaray this month.
“Seri? He stays, that’s definitive. We’ve lost four starting players. That’s enough. It’s not easy to replace them,” Favre said on Goal.com.
Seri, an attacking midfielder by trade, caught the eye of top European clubs after netting seven goals and contributed nine assists in the Ligue 1 as Nice finished third.
