Fast-rising Ghanaian-born Dutch defender Derrick Luckassen has sealed a five-year move to dethroned Eredivisie champions PSV Eindhoven.
Luckassen was signed AZ Alkmaar after passing a mandatory medical.
“I am extremely proud to make this transition.
“I have chosen pure sense of PSV. There were some other options, but I think PSV is a nice club, one that suits me.
“I hope to experience very beautiful times here.
“I’m fast, strong and want to prove myself. I have to work hard to get to play and I will do that too,” the 22-year-old told his new side’s official website.
The Philips Stadion side beat off competition from new champions Feyenoord, Crystal Palace and Lyon to land the defender who also fits in well in midfield.
Derrick Luckassen made 35 league starts as well as twelve in the Europa League for AZ Alkmaar last season.
