Nigeria international Efe Ambrose is in trouble with his Scottish Premiership club Hibernian after failing to report for pre-season training.
Ambrose was reportedly given an extended vacation, but he is yet to report for training and Hibernian coach Neil Lennon has confirmed the news.
“There’s no sign of Efe so he is in a bit of trouble,” Lennon said on All Nigerian Soccer.
“I can’t get a hold of him at all. He was given a wee bit of time off but he is pushing the boundaries now.
“The sooner he is back, for his sake, the better. It will be discussed behind closed doors so he’s got that to look forward to when he gets back.”
The defender helped Hibernian secure promotion to the Scottish Premiership from the Scottish Championship, while on loan from Glasgow Celtic last season.
The club then decided to sign him from Celtic on a permanent deal at the end of the campaign.
