Rwanda name squad to face Tanzania in CHAN qualifier

Amavumbi coach Antonie Hey has named the final 18-man squad that will do duty against Tanzania in a CHAN 2018 qualifier.

Rwanda are scheduled to face Taifa Stars on Saturday in Mwanza with the return leg set for July 22nd at Stade de Kigali in Nyamirambo.

In the squad, one between Rayon’s Ndayishimiye Eric and Police’s Nzarora Marcel will start between the posts as Rayon Sport midfielder and captain Niyonzima Olivier stir up the midfield pack.

AS Kigali’s Mubumbyi Barnabe,Police’s Mico Justin and APR’s Nshuti Innocent will provide choices for Hey in attacking role. The team is expected to jet out of the country on Thursday at 11.30pm aboard RwanddAir to Dar es Salaam where they will reconnect to Mwanza early on Friday morning.

Defenders: Nsabimana Aimable (APR Fc), Manzi Thierry (Rayon Sports Fc), Kayumba Soter (AS Kigali), Rucogoza Aimable (Bugesera Fc), Bishira Latif (AS Kigali), Imanishimwe Emmanuel (APR Fc), Muvandimwe Jean Marie Vianney (Police Fc) and Iradukunda Eric (AS Kigali).

Midfielders: Niyonzima Olivier (RAyon Sports Fc), Mukunzi Yannick (APR Fc), Bizimana Djihad (APR Fc), Muhire Kevin (Rayon Sports Fc) and Nshuti Savio Dominique (AS Kigali).

Strikers: Mico Justin (Police Fc), Nshuti Innocent (APR Fc) and Mubumbyi Barnabe
