NAIROBI 2017 ; SJAK Pledge Comfort To all Invitees

INVITATION LETTER

It is with great pleasure that the Sports Journalists Association of Kenya, SJAK invites you to the 2017 AIPS Africa elective congress that will be held in Nairobi from 16 to 19, December 2017.
We would like to kindly ask for your full support and participation.

According to the usual practice of the AIPS Congresses, the SJAK

Organizing Committee is pleased to offer a double room (double occupancy) for each national delegation and Honorary Member with meals and accommodation covered for the whole duration of the official Congress (three nights).

* Only Executive Committee Members will have their stay booked from 15th to 19th.
For those who are arriving before 16th or departing after the 19th, as well as observers and second delegates (who prefer a separate room), they will have to cover the price of their own stay at the hotel. In due course we shall give you the negotiated hotel rates.

* Please note that AIPS Africa and SJAK will not be responsible for covering the
price of extra rooms, extra days or any other billable extras, in any case.

December 15: Arrival of the EC, AIPS President, EC members
December 16: EC meeting and Arrival of AIPS Africa delegates
December 17: Congress
December 18: Elections & Excursions
December 19: Departures

Hotel Information;
The official hotels of the 2017 AIPS Africa Congress is the Nairobi Safari Club.
The Nairobi Safari Club is a four-star all-suite hotel that is located right in the capital Nairobi, that provides luxurious accommodation.

Registration

Registrations can be submitted by sending an email and attaching your passport copy to aipsafrica@gmail.com and info@sportsjournalistskenya.com stating the full name of participants with arrival and departure airlines and times by November 30, 2017.

Visas

Foreign nationals entering Kenya are required to have a valid passport and in some cases Kenyan visas granted before arrival. We are working with the Immigration department to provide visas on arrival for delegates or E-visas if they confirm attendance by November 30, 2017. For those with embassies in their cities, you could also apply prior to arrival by requesting a personalised invitation.
Delegates from Somalia, Eretria and Libya must get referral letter for visa approval first by the Immigration.
