The 2020 EHF Euro: dream, win, remember

Klagenfurt, November 5, 2018 – The EHF EURO 2020 will be the biggest men´s EHF European Handball Championship of all time – three organisers, 24 nations, six groups and eighteen match days! The final weekend will last three days for the first time and will be played in a football stadium.

Dream today – The official slogan for the championship, which will staged in Sweden, Austria and Norway from 9 to 26 January 2020, has been revealed: “DREAM. WIN. REMEMBER.” The tagline which will not only serve as the championship’s motto, but also as the core for all creative assets produced for the final tournament. The tagline’s long version reads “DREAM TODAY – WIN TOMORROW – REMEMBER FOREVER.”

In the lead-up and over the course of the championship the slogan, or parts of it as it is designed for also single parts to be used, will be seen on billboards across the hosting cities. It forms the basis for online and print advertisement and will also be visible across a range of championship and included in the venue branding.

Ticketing success – On October 24, ticket sales for the EHF EURO 2020 began. Within the first 24 hours 2,000 tickets were sold, 30,000 after less than a week for all venues and all phases.

The organizers, who are fixed for the continental competition, are divided as follows: Norway in Trondheim, Sweden in Gothenburg, Austria in Vienna. Should Croatia successfully qualify for the EURO 2020, they will play the preliminary round matches in Graz / AUT. Germany will start in Trondheim / NOR and Denmark in Malmö / SWE.
