Egypt international Mohamed Salah says he wants to win a major trophy with his new English Premier League (EPL) club, Liverpool FC.
The Reds announced on Thursday night that the 25-year-old winger had joined them on a long-term deal from Italian Serie A giants AS Roma.
“I’m very excited to be here. I’m very happy,” Salah told the club’s official website.
“I will give 100 per cent and give everything for the club. I really want to win something for this club.
The speedy winger is looking forward to working with German tactician Jurgen Klopp, who guided Liverpool to a top four finish in the EPL last season.
“We have a great team and very good players. I was watching the games last year and everyone was giving 100 per cent to win something,” he added.
“Everyone can see the coach gives everything. I hope to see that together we can give everything to win something for the club, for the supporters and for us.”
Salah, who is a former Chelsea midfielder, is the first Egyptian player to join Liverpool and he will wear jersey number 11 at his new club.
